Jan Garland, FNP-C

With more than 30 years of medical experience, Jan specializes in preventive cardiology across all ages with an emphasis on wellness and prevention. Her training includes treating hypertension, hyperlipidemia, rhythm disorders, heart failure and coronary disease. She has advanced training in monitoring and interrogating pacemaker and other advanced heart rhythm devices. She has a special interest in patients with heart rate problems including palpitations and tachycardias. Jan is a member of the Heart Failure Society, Heart Rhythm Society, and American College of Cardiology.

 

Jan holds a Bachelor of Arts in Science from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. She studied nursing at Ricks College in Rexburg, Idaho, and earned a Bachelor of Nursing from Regents College/University of New York. In addition, she holds a Master of Science-Family Nurse Practitioner from Idaho State University, Pocatello, Idaho.

 

When Jan is not practicing medicine, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Erich, and their five children. She also likes outdoor activities, gardening, attending her grandchildren’s sporting events, and playing with their multiple dogs.
